Telecomet International Singapore Pte Ltd (TIS), subsidiary of KDD, is established.

Mar.
TIS and KDD Singapore Liaison Office merge to form KDD Telecomet Singapore Pte Ltd (KTS).

2000

Oct.
Emergence of KDDI through the merger of KDD, DDI and IDO in Japan.

2001

Jan.
KTS changes its name to KDDI Singapore Pte Ltd.

2002

Aug.
KDDI Singapore licenses FBO (facilities based operator license) as the first Japanese carrier.

KDDI Singapore sets up its liaison office in India.

KDDI India private Limited is established.

KDDI Singapore sets up Dubai branch.
